The Beast.
This is a 50 mile route to cater for the more experienced cycling enthusiast. The route breaks from the Big Ride at Iveston and remains on road skirting close to Wolsingham and reaching its highest point at Tow Law, before returning and eventually descending to Durham. The route is challenging as it takes in most of the hills in the north and west of the County and test riders described it as a beast, hence the name.
